Birch Trees 11 cm, 4 pcs

HEKI Birches 11 cm, 4 pcs

Four finished model trees from the German maker HEKI, eleven centimeters tall. A birch cannot be missed in the landscape thanks to its pale trunk and drooping branch tips, and eleven centimeters matches a tree that has grown up but has not yet outgrown the surrounding vegetation. Four pieces in one box are practical for this species, because birches grow in groups and four of them add up to natural self-seeded growth.

Use

• groups of birches on grassy strips between fields, clearings and embankments
• a pale accent in a group of darker trees
• areas growing over and forest edges
• greenery along railroads and on the banks of cuttings
• winter scenes where the tree should look good even without foliage
• greenery by abandoned buildings and overgrown yards

How to work with the trees

The trees are pushed into a pre-drilled hole or glued by the foot of the trunk. Set the group close together and at irregular spacing, as birches regenerate from the roots and grow in clusters. Spread the flattened branches carefully with your fingers after unpacking and let the tips point slightly downward. Add low growth and a few small bushes under the trees.

Who the set is for

For layout and diorama builders who need a pale group of trees, and for modelers fine-tuning areas that are growing over. The four can be supplemented with taller birches of the same brand, and the growth then looks as though it is regenerating gradually. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
