Long static fibers stand in for growth that nobody has cut: field margins, ditches along roads, the edges of fields, overgrown yards and areas around abandoned buildings. The designation wild grass aims exactly here, that is at irregular and tall growth rather than at a kept lawn. The package weighs 75 grams, so it will do even for a larger overgrown area.
In H0 scale this length corresponds to roughly 43 to 52 centimeters of real grass, in 1:35 scale to roughly 18 to 21 centimeters. This is therefore growth reaching from above a person's ankles to the knees. A longer fiber needs a somewhat thicker layer of glue to stay standing, and it does not take large areas at once. It pays to plant it in strips and to leave room between them for shorter grass or for bare ground.
A real meadow is not even. Let areas thin out, then, combine this length with a shorter one by paths and in places where people walk, and add separate tufts where nobody has cut. Finished growth can be trimmed with scissors and combed with a dry brush in the direction of the prevailing wind in the scene. You can fine-tune the shade with paint applied from a long distance, so that the fibers do not stick together. The dry tone of a meadow also comes into its own when you add a little greener growth at the edges and press the fibers to the ground in places by a road.
