The fourth part of a range of figures of German tank crewmen of the years 1940 to 1943 in 1:35 scale. The package contains three figures.
Responsibility details are not available.
The crew of a German medium tank consisted as a rule of five men, and their roles can be told even on figures: the commander with binoculars or headphones, the driver and the loader in working dress. Between 1940 and 1943 these units fought in France, in North Africa and on the Eastern Front, while the uniform of tank crewmen stayed recognizable thanks to the short jacket with large lapels.
The package is designated as the fourth part of a range on the theme of abandoning a vehicle and contains three figures in 1:35 scale. Three figures together already make up the basis of a whole scene, so the set serves well where more than one soldier is to be seen around a vehicle.
With a group of figures it is advisable to lay the composition out before the glue comes into it: stand the figures dry on the base and look for where they are looking and how they follow on from one another. In terms of color it pays to set the individual uniforms slightly apart, because an absolutely identical shade on all three figures looks artificial. Faces are easier to finish before the figures are firmly seated, and the whole is unified with a weak oil glaze and fine weathering on the boots and knees.
The set is intended for builders of dioramas and scenes with German armored equipment who need several figures at once. Together with the other parts of the range it makes it possible to fill even a larger scene. The package contains only the figures. The model of the vehicle, paints, glue and a base are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
