Railing along a roadway is among the elements that turn a piece of asphalt into a real street. It separates the pavement from the traffic lane, borders a crossing and, in a diorama, also works as a guiding line along which a viewer's eye travels right up to the main subject of the scene. Without a similar orienting element a free area looks empty.
The package contains six pieces of road railing in 1:35 scale produced by direct 3D printing from resin. The pieces can be lined up one after another into a continuous line or placed separately as the scene requires.
Remove the print supports with nippers and level the marks they leave with a sharp knife, best on the lower edge, where they cannot be seen once set into the base. The thin sections are fragile, so handle them carefully; a damaged or bent piece need not be thrown away, however, as in a scene after an accident it will on the contrary strengthen the story. Wash off the residue of printing resin and let the parts dry. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Before gluing, check that the whole row stands at the same height and upright, because leaning railing is immediately apparent on a finished scene.
The set is intended for builders of city and road dioramas who need an element of street furniture in the right scale. A model, a vehicle, a base, paints and glue are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
