A plastic model of a European truck from the truck range of the Italeri brand. 1:24 is an established size for trucks, and the finished tractor unit makes a striking piece in a display case rather than a small thing among the others.
It is a heavy tractor unit of Dutch manufacture, built for long-haul transport on European roads. The Super Space Cab designation denotes the tallest cab variant with a raised roof, which gives the crew room to rest and to stand upright on long journeys. Power comes from a diesel inline six-cylinder engine, and vehicles of this generation were among the mainstays of European haulers at the turn of the millennium.
A truck goes together in sub-assemblies: first the frame with the axles, then the powerplant, followed by the cab and finally the small fittings. A gloss finish looks best when the paint is laid in thin coats on a smoothly sanded base. Cut the glossy parts off the sprue carefully and rather work the sanded spot up afterwards, because every scratch shows on a mirror surface. The chassis, by contrast, will take darker tones and a light dusting with pigment.
The goods are sold as a set of unpainted parts for assembly. Paints, glue and varnishes are not enclosed unless the item states otherwise.
