An injection-molded plastic kit of the famous Fiat 131 Abarth Rally car in 1:24 scale from the Italian manufacturer Italeri. The model captures the angular body with flared fenders, additional air intakes and rally equipment. The box holds plastic and rubber parts, decals for a period competition livery and instructions. Check the exact contents of the box against the instruction sheet; paints and glue are not included in the package.
The Fiat 131 Abarth was built on the base of the two-door 131 sedan, which the Abarth workshop lightened and fitted with new fenders for wider wheels and with additional intakes for better cooling. It was powered by a longitudinally mounted four-cylinder engine with a light alloy head and four valves per cylinder. The car was built from the middle of the 1970s and took three manufacturers titles in the world rally championship - it is among the most successful competition cars of its day.
Spray the competition body with an airbrush over a thin primer and polish the gloss coat so that the striking rally livery comes into its own. Detail the interior with its roll cage before closing it up and mask the glazing. Apply the extensive sponsor decals over a gloss surface and seal them with varnish. Use thin modeling cement on the plastic joints and fit the rubber tires at the very end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
