An injection-molded plastic kit of the British rally car Ford Escort RS 1800 Mk.II in 1:24 scale from the Italian manufacturer Italeri. The kit offers a detailed body, interior and engine and is a good choice for collectors of competition cars as well as for modelers who want to try building a racing car with striking sponsor decals.
The Ford Escort RS 1800 Mk.II is among the most successful rally cars of the second half of the 1970s. With rear-wheel drive and an inline four it became the terror of competition stages around the world and collected a string of world championship wins. Its simple but well-sorted design made it an icon that fans of classic rallying love to this day.
Spray the body over a primer base and use a gloss coat so that the color matches the racing finish. Build and paint the interior and the engine compartment before closing the body up. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic. Transfer the sponsor decals onto a smooth gloss coat and, once dry, cover them with clear so that they blend into the surface. Finish the wheels and the tires separately.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
