A 230 gallon centerline fuel tank in 1:32 scale from Reskit, intended for models of the OV-10 Bronco observation aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a drop fuel tank in 1:32 scale that you hang under the fuselage of a Bronco model. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for the modeler who already has a basic model under construction. The tank is listed for three versions of the machine and also appeared with users other than the US Air Force.
The twin-engine Bronco came about for observation, for directing air support and for light attacks from improvised strips. The key quality for that work was the ability to stay airborne for long hours and watch what was going on below. That is precisely why the machine commonly appeared with a centerline tank hung between the tail booms, which extended the time on station noticeably. The Bronco served in America and overseas, and its unmistakable shape makes it a rewarding subject for a large scale.
First check whether the tank fits between the landing gear and the underside of the fuselage, as the space tends to be tight on this type. The surface of the tank is smooth, so a small mark from production shows at once; spend time on preparing the surface. Choose the shade according to the underside of the machine, which on later schemes tends to be darker than you expect. Glue the tank on only once the model is standing on its landing gear and sits steadily.
The accessory comes unpainted and no finishing material is enclosed.
