1:32 AIM-7M Sparrow III missiles represent the last widely produced version of the series, used in the conflicts around the turn of the millennium.
Responsibility details are not available.
The final and most widespread version of the Sparrow series, in a set for builds in 1:32 scale. The set aims at modern fighter aircraft of the 1980s and 1990s and assumes that you already have the carrier aircraft under construction.
The M version received a new type of radar seeker working on a monopulse principle, which fundamentally improved its ability to pick a target out against ground returns. Digital signal processing also hardened the weapon against jamming. The Sparrow thus stayed usable in an era when an opponent routinely employed electronic warfare. The missile was carried by the F-15 Eagle, the F-14 Tomcat, the F-16 and the carrier-borne F/A-18, and in the operations of the early 1990s it was behind most of the long-range kills before the fully active generation took over.
In large scales it pays to check that all four stores are aligned with one another so that the machine does not look crooked. The body of the missile has a smooth surface, so small scratches from sanding stand out; polishing it over with a cotton pad before priming is a quick insurance. Deal with the stencils and markings only after a gloss coat has been applied, otherwise the edges will snag.
The package does not include painting or gluing materials.
