Bf 109E-3 3D-printed color interior 1:32 (Quinta Studio) is a set of three-dimensional decals on a backing paper that brings realistic instrument detail into the cockpit without photo-etched parts and painting.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of color 3D-printed decals for the cockpit of the Bf 109E-3 fighter in 1:32 scale from Quinta Studio. This is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory for Bf 109E-3 models in this scale. The detail is printed in a thick raised layer directly on the decal backing paper, so once in place it looks three-dimensional and convincing.
The Bf 109E-3 was the fighter version of the Emil with a Daimler-Benz DB 601 engine and strengthened armament to which wing cannon were added. It was deployed at the turn of the 1930s and 1940s and was one of the main German fighters of the early period of the war. The glazed canopy makes the interior a clearly visible part of a model.
The parts are applied the wet way like a decal: cut the part from the sheet, dip it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the backing paper into place. They have no adhesive layer of their own and hold on a gloss coat, so sand the surface of the kit smooth beforehand and go over it with a clear coat such as Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22; on intricate places a drop of cyanoacrylate glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemicals attack the printed resin. The set usually brings the instrument panel, the side consoles, the belts and small placards.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The aircraft model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
