Cut masks 1:32 for the two-seat trainer version of the Fiat G.50 with dual controls from Special Mask. A ready-made aid for painting the glazing and other areas of the model, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks in 1:32 scale for a model of the two-seat trainer version of the Italian Fiat G.50 fighter. The designation Bicomando refers to the dual controls, that is, a full set of controls for the instructor in the rear cockpit as well. The set is neither a model nor a decal; it is a painting aid that saves the most demanding part of the preparation before spraying.
The Fiat G.50 was an Italian single-engine fighter of all-metal construction with a radial engine, brought into service in the second half of the 1930s. The two-seat trainer version had a lengthened cockpit with two stations, which means a markedly larger glazed area, and on a model in 1:32 scale that is the most laborious spot of all.
At a large scale even small imperfections show, so it pays to go slowly. Lift the mask off the sheet with tweezers, seat it on the frame and press the edge down with a blunt tool so that paint cannot wick under it. Before the shade itself we recommend spraying the edges with a thin coat of the interior or base color, which hides any bleed. Lay the paint on in several passes, as a heavy coat makes a step at the edge. Remove the mask shortly after it has dried and keep the rest of the sheet in a bag, as the offcuts come in handy for touch-ups.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints and glue are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
