MiG-15bis 3D-printed color interior 1:32 (Quinta Studio) is a set of three-dimensional decals on a backing paper that brings realistic instrument detail into the cockpit without photo-etched parts and painting.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of color 3D-printed decals for the cockpit of the MiG-15bis fighter in 1:32 scale from Quinta Studio. This is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory for MiG-15bis models in this scale. The detail is printed in a thick raised layer on a decal film on backing paper and once in place it looks three-dimensional and convincing.
The MiG-15bis was an improved version of the Soviet MiG-15 jet fighter with a more powerful engine. The type became a symbol of the air war in Korea and one of the most widespread fighters of the early 1950s, operated by a whole range of countries. The cockpit with its prominent instrument panel is a rewarding target for detail.
The parts have no adhesive layer of their own: the part is cut from the sheet, dipped in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slid off the decal backing paper into place. Sand the surface of the kit smooth beforehand and go over it with a gloss coat (Future, Klear, Tamiya X-22); it is precisely on a gloss coat that the part holds, and on intricate places a drop of cyanoacrylate glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemicals attack the printed resin. The set usually brings the instrument panel, the side consoles, the belts and placards.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The aircraft model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
