A detailed wheel set for models of the American Northrop F-5 light fighter in the F and N versions and for the Korean KF-5F in 1:48 scale from Reskit. This is not an airplane kit but a standalone accessory that replaces the factory plastic wheels with more faithful parts in cast resin and 3D printing.
The Northrop F-5 is an American light supersonic twin-engine fighter that was exported on a large scale to allied air forces. The F version is the two-seat variant, the N version served with the US Navy mainly in the aggressor role for air combat training, and the KF-5F is a two-seat variant built under license in Korea.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, separate the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Shade the tires in a matte blackish gray and the hubs in metallic tones. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The airplane kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
