Master 1:32 MiG-19PM (Farmer E) missile rail nose parts and pitot tube is a set of four turned metal tips for the missile rails and a pitot tube for MiG-19PM models in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Polish brand Master contains, according to the manufacturer's designation, four turned metal front parts for the missile rails and a pitot tube for a model of the MiG-19PM fighter in 1:32 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory that replaces blunt plastic moldings with sharp metal parts. With four identical parts the main benefit is that they match one another, so that once fitted they form an even row.
The MiG-19PM was an interceptor derived from the supersonic MiG-19, in which the gun armament was replaced by air-to-air guided missiles launched from underwing rails. The tips of the rails are thin, long and conical, a shape that an injection mold can only render rounded. The pitot tube on the nose is one of the typical recognition features of the whole series.
Cut off the plastic tips and level the surface so that the metal part follows on without a step. Drill the holes in stages, from a smaller diameter up to the target one, otherwise the thin-walled rail will split. Fit all four parts dry and look at the model from the front to see whether they stand out by the same amount. They are glued with a drop of cyanoacrylate or with slow-setting epoxy, which gives time to line them up. Leave the pitot tube for the very end of the build. Degrease the metal before painting and use a primer for metal, because on a polished surface without an undercoat the paint does not hold and rubs off when the display case is cleaned.
This is an accessory for building a model, not a standalone kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
