A set of wheels in cast resin in 1:32 scale from the manufacturer Reskit, intended for a model of the twin-engine aircraft North American B-25 Mitchell in the B-25H and B-25J versions. It is not an aircraft kit. It is an accessory with which the landing gear wheels on a model are exchanged. The set is designed for one specific kit, which the name states, so check in advance that it corresponds to the model you are building.
A twin-engine aircraft in 1:32 scale is large and once finished it has a weight that is not negligible. It is precisely on such models that plastic wheels often give way in time and the model leans on the shelf. A resin casting is solid and stiff, so it holds its shape. At the same time it carries the tread and the lettering on the sidewalls in sharper relief, because it is not made in two halves and no parting seam has to run across the pattern. The wheels tend to be shaped as loaded, with a settled contact patch, which on a heavy aircraft looks more natural than a perfectly round shape.
Wash the mold release off the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry. Cut the casting block off with a saw and tune the surface on abrasive paper on glass. Sand wet and with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate applied drop by drop. Apply primer before painting, otherwise the top shade holds badly on resin. Spray the tire in dark gray, the rim separately, and dust the contact patch with a light pigment at the end. If you are building the model on an airfield base, a fine transition of dust onto the lower part of the landing gear legs is appropriate too.
This is an accessory in resin, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
