1:35 D. A.K. PALM SYMBOLS - WHITE, 240 PALMS IN 24 VARIANTS

ELEFANT D.A.K. Palm Symbols - white 1:35

A decal set in 1:35 scale containing white palm symbols, the typical insignia of the units of the German Africa Corps (Deutsches Afrikakorps) from the fighting in North Africa. The set offers 240 palms in 24 variants in all, so it covers a large number of vehicles and various renderings of this identification marking.

Contents and use

The white variant of the symbol is intended above all for darker surfaces, where it stands out well. The decals are applied by the conventional wet method and suit the bodies, fenders and other surfaces of Afrikakorps vehicles.

Application tips

• Coat the area under the decal with a gloss varnish.
• Soak the decal, position it and draw off the excess water.
• Settle the palm onto an uneven surface with a decal softener.
• Finally, knock everything back to matte and weather it to match the subject.

Who the set is for

• Builders of models of German vehicles from North Africa.
• Modelers who need a larger stock of identification markings.

The decals are supplied on their own; the paints, the varnish and the model are not included in the package.
