The model captures the characteristic angular body of this universal vehicle and offers a detailed rendering of the suspension, the underside of the chassis and the interior with an instrument panel and pedals. The doors can be built open or closed; a driver figure is enclosed.
The Kübelwagen Type 82 was a light multipurpose cross-country car that served the German army during the Second World War as a liaison and transport vehicle. It grew out of the design of the people's car (the VW Beetle) and was powered by an air-cooled flat-four engine mounted at the rear. Thanks to its low weight, its simplicity and its decent off-road ability it became one of the most widespread vehicles of the Wehrmacht and was built in large numbers.
Before closing the body, finish and paint the interior and the underside of the chassis, which are harder to reach later. Glue the plastic parts with a liquid model cement for plastic and fill and sand the joints. Apply a base coat (primer) before painting and spray the paints with an airbrush in thin coats. For the realistic look of a field vehicle use washes and pigments (dust and mud effects).
