Modern Gas Bottles in 1:35 scale are modern pressurized cylinders from the Vallejo range of diorama accessories. This is not a kit but a scenic prop for workshop, service and urban scenes.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of modern pressurized gas cylinders in 1:35 scale. It is a purely scenic accessory that represents nothing on its own, yet it can give a scene a purpose: where the cylinders stand, something is being welded, repaired or stored. The number of pieces and the material of the castings are stated on the box of the set.
Gas cylinders fit into a field workshop, a service bay, the support area of an airfield, a construction site and a civilian urban scene alike. They work well leaned against a wall, stowed in cages and racks, laid on a pallet or lashed to the side of a vehicle. Because they are tall and slender, they also serve compositionally as a vertical element that breaks up a dull horizontal expanse of base.
The color coding of gases differs by country, by standard and by period, so follow the specific reference you are working from and do not copy a foreign scheme blindly. Technically the cylinders are easy to paint: a primer, a saturated base shade sprayed with an airbrush and a flat or satin clear coat. The neck and the valve can be handled with a brush in a metallic paint, and a thin wire as a hose plus the remains of a chain or a strap adds a great deal. Worn paint at the bottom, dust in the hollows and light corrosion on the lower rim give the cylinders a history. Leave lettering and labels merely suggested, as legible text in this scale has the opposite effect and looks unconvincing.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and a terrain base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
