The GMC CCKW was the basic 2.5-ton truck with six-wheel drive (6x6) with which the American army and the Allies supplied the fronts of the Second World War on a large scale. The version with the closed all-steel cab replaced the earlier form with a canvas roof and had full glazed windows.
