It is not a ship model but a set of fine metal life buoys that replace coarse plastic parts or fill in a deck where the kit lacks them. The parts are supplied already printed in color, so once broken out they only need placing on the model.
Life buoys are among the typical details that look flat and coarse on plastic ships. Thin etched sheet gives the buoys a profile correct to scale and the color print gives them faithful white and red markings. The set is universal - it suits practically any kit of a warship or a civil ship in 1:350 scale.
Carefully separate the parts from the fret with a sharp knife or photo-etch shears, make any bends according to the instructions (ideally in a photo-etch bender) and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) - plastic cement does not hold on metal. With parts this small, patience pays off and it helps to work over a tray. Color-printed buoys do not need repainting. Unpainted parts are best sprayed with a primer and the color of the ship before installation.
A photo-etched set is an accessory, not a model. The ship kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
