This set from Flyhawk is not a model of the ship but an extensive detail set for improving a plastic kit of the Japanese battleship Musashi in 1:350 scale. It combines photo-etched parts, a wooden deck and metal gun barrels so as to raise the level of detail fundamentally.
Musashi, together with her sister ship Yamato, was one of the largest battleships ever to put to sea. The Imperial Japanese Navy armed her with main guns of 460 mm caliber. She was sunk in 1944 in the Battle of the Sibuyan Sea.
Cut and bend the photo-etched parts before bonding, and fix the joints with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). We recommend bonding the wooden deck onto a clean, degreased surface. This is more demanding work for more experienced modelers.
This is a supplementary set. The ship model itself, glue, paints and other parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
