This is an extensive premium detail set, not a ship model. The Golden Medal edition from Flyhawk is among the most complete accessories for a 1:350 model of the Japanese battleship Nagato. It combines photo-etched metal parts with further components for the greatest possible realism, including a wooden deck imitation and additional parts.
The target kit is the Hasegawa 40024; it is bought separately.
Nagato was a battleship of the Imperial Japanese Navy and served for a long time as the flagship of the fleet. She was one of the first ships armed with 410 mm guns. She came through the war and met her end only in the postwar nuclear tests at Bikini Atoll.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and make the bends precisely over a ruler or a photo-etch bending tool. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or with an adhesive intended for photo-etch. Seat the wooden deck imitation carefully to match the shape of the parts. Because of the size of the set, we recommend working section by section and gluing the finest parts last.
The set does not contain the ship model, paints or glue. It serves as a comprehensive accessory to the kit.
