This set from Flyhawk is NOT a kit but a detail accessory made for plastic models of the Italian battleship Roma in 1:350 scale. It holds fine photo-etched metal parts for faithfully finishing the ship. The set is made for the Trumpeter kit.
The Roma was a battleship of the Littorio class of the Regia Marina. She entered service in 1942. In September 1943, on passage to the Allies after the Italian surrender, she was sunk by a German Fritz X guided bomb, one of the first successes of guided munitions against a large warship.
Photo-etch replaces the elements that cannot be faithfully molded in plastic: railings, ladders, antennas, gratings and deck fittings. Separate the parts with a sharp knife, shape them in a bender and glue them with super glue. Degrease the metal before painting and prime it.
This is an accessory for a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
