230 gallon auxiliary tanks in 1:48 scale are intended to be carried under helicopters of the UH-60 family and under the AH-64 attack machine. The name states two pieces.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains external fuel tanks of two hundred and thirty gallons, for which the name gives the designation AFMS and a count of two pieces. According to the name they suit the AH-64, MH-60L, UH-60A and HH-60 machines, that is an attack helicopter and several versions of the widely known transport and rescue family. The box holds the tanks only; the machine itself is built from the base kit.
Helicopters of this class carry fuel mainly in the fuselage and their range is limited accordingly. External beams along the sides of the fuselage therefore make it possible to hang large-capacity tanks, with which the machine can manage a long-distance ferry flight or a long mission without an intermediate landing. Auxiliary tanks appear very often in period photographs and give a model the characteristic silhouette with laden side beams.
Before you seat the tanks, check dry whether the lugs match the spacing of the beams on your kit; a small deviation can be evened out by sanding the mating face. Degrease the castings before spraying and cover them with a primer, otherwise the paint will rub off easily on the smooth surface. The tanks are usually finished in the same shade as the airframe, so paint them together with the model and keep the weathering at a similar level, so that they do not look like a foreign element.
