This 3D printed resin set from Reskit contains one 300 gallon auxiliary fuel tank with a pylon in the Type 1 form, in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model but an external stores accessory for models of the F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter. The printing faithfully captures the shape of the tank, the seams and the mounting pylon as one clean part.
A centerline tank extends the range of the F-16 and is a common part of its loadout. The set makes it possible to fill the center station of a model realistically without having to combine several plastic parts. The Type 1 form refers to a particular shape of tank and pylon.
Wash the uncured resin residue off the part and separate it from the print supports. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the tank with an airbrush before fitting, add the technical stencils and bring out the panel lines with a fine wash. Take care that the pylon sits vertically.
This is a detail accessory, not a model on its own. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
