The AMX is a light attack and reconnaissance aircraft that came out of a joint Italian-Brazilian program. It is a single-seat subsonic machine with a high-mounted wing and weapons slung under the wing and under the fuselage, intended for attacks on ground targets and for reconnaissance. The AMX-T version has a lengthened fuselage and two seats in tandem; it serves for training while keeping the combat capability of the single-seat variant.
This is an accessory for aircraft models in 1:48 scale. It is therefore intended for building a model of the AMX, or the AMX-T, from a kit in this scale. Which assembly of the aircraft it completes and how many parts it holds is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Before gluing, wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap and let them dry, so that the surface takes the primer well. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the remainder down with fine abrasive paper. Try the fit of the part dry while it sits without glue, and only then apply super glue. Apply the paint in thin coats over the base coat.
The set is for modelers who build the AMX in 1:48 scale and want to take the model beyond the level of the parts from the box. Before ordering it is worth checking in the instructions which kit the part is cut for.
