1:48 Do-217 Wheels Correction Set

CMK Do-217 Wheels Correction Set 1:48

A resin correction set of wheels from the Czech maker CMK intended for models of the German Dornier Do 217 bomber in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model but a detail and correction set that replaces the wheels from the basic kit with more accurately shaped and more finely cast parts. The aim is to put right the shape and detail of the wheels where the plastic parts from the kit do not reach the accuracy required.

What the set is for

The wheels go onto the landing gear in place of the plastic parts and so sharpen up the look and the proportions of the model, above all on machines displayed with the gear down.

Usage tips

• Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent and remove the mold release agent.
• Cut the casting blocks off with a sharp knife or a saw and sand the surfaces.
• Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
• Protect your airways when sanding resin.

Who the set is for

• Builders of the Do 217 model who want to correct and sharpen up the wheels.
• Modelers with experience of resin parts.
• Collectors looking for a higher level of detail.

The set contains resin parts and is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue and the aircraft model are not included in the package.
