A resin, 3D-printed replacement exhaust nozzle for models of the F-100 Super Sabre fighter in the late configuration, 1:48 scale, made by Reskit. It is a detail accessory that replaces the plastic nozzle from the box with a truer rendering of the nozzle and the afterburner chamber. It is not a model in its own right. The target kit is the Trumpeter one.
The North American F-100 Super Sabre was the first American production fighter able to go supersonic in level flight. It served with the USAF and with allied air forces and was used intensively during the Vietnam War. The late versions differed in details of the rear fuselage and the exhaust, which this set captures accurately.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut the print supports away and line them up with the fuselage. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). It is usually worth painting the inside of the nozzle in metallic and heat-tinted shades (steel shades, burnt metal) and bringing it out with pigments for a look of service wear.
The set holds add-on parts only. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
