An injection-molded plastic kit of the two-seat fighter aircraft F-16D Viper in 1:48 scale from the production of the manufacturer Kinetic, issued in the premium Gold Series range. The model captures the machine in the striking red, white and blue finish of the American aerobatic team US Air Force Thunderbirds. The kit offers a finely subdivided cockpit with two seats, well worked out air intakes and an engine nozzle, and a sheet of decals for a faithful finish. Check the exact package contents and the number of schemes against the enclosed instructions.
The F-16 Fighting Falcon, nicknamed Viper among pilots, is a single-engine multirole fighter aircraft with a characteristic framed canopy and a low-set air intake. The F-16D version is the two-seater with two seats in tandem, used both for training and for combat tasks. The Thunderbirds aerobatic team operates a two-seat machine alongside its single-seaters and deploys it among other things for demonstration and media flights.
Cut the parts off the sprues and bond them with thin modeling cement for plastic. Fit the cockpit glazing carefully with canopy glue so that the plastic does not go cloudy. Spray the striking gloss Thunderbirds finish with an airbrush over a quality primer and a base white; mask the boundaries between the colors carefully. Apply a gloss coat before the decals and finally unify the surface according to the degree of gloss you want.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
