This is a resin, 3D printed detail set from the Ukrainian brand Reskit, not an airplane kit. The set replaces the plastic nozzles with accurate parts for the F-4E, F-4J, F-4F, F-4G and F-4S versions and faithfully reproduces the petal structure of both nozzles of the twin-engine Phantom in 1:48 scale. According to the product designation the set is intended for the Hasegawa kit.
The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II is an American twin-engine supersonic fighter-bomber with General Electric J79 engines. The distinctive pair of exhaust nozzles at the rear of the fuselage is a prominent detail that often looks simplified on a model; accurate parts noticeably bring the view of the engine section to life.
Separate the parts from the print supports, clean them up and wash them free of print resin residue. Glue with cyanoacrylate. Paint the nozzles in metallic shades (burnt metal, steel, titanium) and pick them out with a wash and fine toning according to the degree of wear.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The basic model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
