1:48 Fairey Fulmar Mk.II O-max set (for Trumpeter)

Omask Fairey Fulmar Mk.II O-max set (1:48)

This is an accessory, not an aircraft model. The O-max set from Omask contains precisely cut painting masks for the canopy glazing and other clear areas of the Trumpeter kit, together with foam (EVA) plugs for the landing gear bays. The masks let you spray the canopy frames cleanly, and the foam plugs protect the inside of the bays from paint during airbrushing.

The real subject

The Fairey Fulmar was a British carrier fighter of the Fleet Air Arm in the Second World War. Its two-seat layout with a navigator allowed long patrol flights over the sea. The Mk.II version received a more powerful engine.

Use

• The masks are laid straight onto the glazing and follow the shape of the long canopy frames exactly.
• The framing of the canopy is sprayed without laborious masking with tape by hand.
• The foam plugs go into the landing gear bays and keep paint from getting in.
• Once the paint is dry, both the masks and the plugs come off easily.

Who the set is for

For modelers building the Fulmar Mk.II in 1:48 scale who want to speed the masking of the canopy up and make it more accurate, and to protect the landing gear bays.

Neither the masks nor the plugs contain paint. To be safe, check the match with the Trumpeter kit in the manufacturer's instructions.
