The 3D printed 3DF FuG 220 Lichtenstein SN-2 radar set (1:48) for experienced modelers: the fine antennas of the airborne radar of German night fighters of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set is NOT an airplane model but a detail accessory for plastic kits of German night fighters of the Second World War in 1:48 scale. It contains 3D printed antennas of the FuG 220 Lichtenstein SN-2 airborne search radar, that is, the characteristic antlers on the nose of the aircraft. The fine parts are meant for experienced modelers.
The FuG 220 Lichtenstein SN-2 was a German airborne radar for night interception which from 1943 replaced the older Lichtenstein B/C after the Allies began using radar-jamming chaff (Window). It worked on a lower frequency of around 90 MHz, and you recognize it by the large antler-shaped antenna arrays. It was carried by night fighters such as the Bf 110G-4, the Ju 88, the He 219 and the Ta 154.
Separate the thin antennas carefully from the supports with a sharp knife and nippers, so that they do not break, and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Because the parts are fragile, work calmly, and use respiratory protection if any sanding is needed. Check that the antenna mounts seat accurately against the nose of your particular kit.
This is an accessory for a kit, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
