MBD3-U6-68 multiple bomb racks (1:48, Reskit)

A detail accessory cast in resin, not an airplane model. The set contains a pair of MBD3-U6-68 multiple bomb racks, which let several bombs be carried on a single station. These racks were used on heavier Soviet and Russian combat aircraft, for example on the Su-17, Su-24 or Su-27 types. The box contains 2 pieces and is meant to be fitted to plastic kits in 1:48 scale. The set is made by Reskit, the Ukrainian specialist in resin and 3D-printed accessories.

Fitting and painting

• Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent - that removes the mold release agent and any uncured resin.
• Cut the casting blocks and the supports off with a sharp scalpel or a fine saw; do not break the small pins.
• Sand the surfaces down after cutting - always with your airways protected, ideally wet.
• Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate); cement for plastic does not hold on resin.
• Apply primer, then the paint; a wash in the recesses and light dry-brushing on the edges will bring out the detail of the rack.

The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, the bombs, paints and glue are not included in the package. When sanding resin, use a respirator and ventilate.
