Eduard 1:48 Mil Mi-24D Hind is a masking set of cut kabuki tape for a model of the attack helicopter in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory that makes spraying easier.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains pre-cut masks of kabuki-type masking tape for a model of the Mi-24D helicopter in 1:48 scale. The masks follow the shape of the glazing, so you do not have to trace and cut the cockpit framing by hand. On the Mi-24D this is an especially useful accessory, because the machine has broken-up glazing in two separate cockpits plus the glazing of the cargo compartment. Made by Eduard, a Czech brand. The package contains no model and no paints.
The Mi-24 is a Soviet attack helicopter from the Mil design bureau, given the NATO reporting name Hind. It differs from most attack helicopters in that behind the crew cockpit it also carries a compartment for transport, so it combines a combat and a transport role. The Mi-24D version has separate, tandem-arranged canopies for the pilot and the operator, which is the most conspicuous difference from the older forms with continuous glazing.
Clean the glazing of grease and fingerprints. Lift a mask out of the sheet with tweezers, lay it on and press it down over a wooden stick. Spray the paint in thin layers, so that it does not run under the edge. Take the mask off shortly after drying, while the paint is not fully cured. On a helicopter it pays to mask the glazing of the cargo compartment as well, so that it stays clear.
The set contains no kit and no paints. The masks are cut to the shape of the parts of a particular model, so check the match with the kit you are building.
