An injection-molded plastic kit of the American RQ-4 Global Hawk unmanned reconnaissance aircraft in 1:48 scale from Kinetic. The model captures the characteristic slender glider-like wing of great span, the dorsal satellite fairing and the retractable landing gear. Because of the size of the real aircraft it is a large model.
The RQ-4 Global Hawk is a high-altitude unmanned aircraft for long-range strategic reconnaissance. It can stay airborne for tens of hours and images extensive areas in real time; it has been used over a number of conflict areas. Its wingspan approaches that of an airliner.
Glue the long wing carefully and let it cure thoroughly so that it holds its shape. Glue with liquid cement for plastic and sand the joints. Bring the light gray finish to life with gentle panel accenting; large areas are best handled with an airbrush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
