An injection-molded plastic kit of the American unmanned aircraft RQ/MQ-1 Predator in 1:48 scale from Bronco. The moldings are in gray plastic supplemented with clear parts. The box makes it possible to build either the unarmed reconnaissance version RQ-1 or the armed version MQ-1, thanks to alternative sensor turrets and lower fuselage parts. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Predator is a remotely piloted unmanned vehicle intended for long-endurance reconnaissance and surveillance. The armed MQ-1 version can carry anti-armor guided missiles and serves for attacks on ground targets. The machine became one of the best-known drones of its generation and was used in a number of conflicts.
The slim airframe and the thin tail boom call for careful gluing with thin cement for plastic. We recommend a base coat of primer and spraying with an airbrush; the uniform light finish comes out best with fine highlighting of the panel lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
