Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit of the early British carrier-based jet fighter Supermarine Attacker F.1 in 1:48 scale from Trumpeter. The model captures this characteristic transitional type with its straight wing and tailwheel undercarriage, finely engraved panel lines and clear cockpit parts. Check the exact contents of the package against the instructions supplied.
The Supermarine Attacker was a British single-seat carrier-based jet fighter and historically the first production jet type taken on strength by the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy. It first flew at the beginning of the 1950s and entered operational service in 1951. It was based on the earlier Supermarine Spiteful, from which it took over the laminar flow wing; the tailwheel undercarriage and the straight wing make it a typical transitional aircraft between the piston and the jet era.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and the clear parts with cyanoacrylate. Paint the cockpit and the instrument panel before you close up the fuselage; the canopy can be built open and protected with a mask while spraying. We recommend a primer and painting with an airbrush; the typical glossy naval finishes come out best over a smoothed surface and with a clear coat compatible with the paint used. Pick the panel lines out with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
