This set from the maker Reskit contains the landing gear wheels for a model of the UH-34 Seahorse helicopter, or rather of its British derivative the Westland Wessex in the naval version, in 1:48 scale. It is a resin (3D-printed) detail accessory, not a stand-alone helicopter model. The wheels replace the parts of the base kit and faithfully capture the tread pattern and the profile of the tires. Working with resin is meant for more experienced modelers.
The UH-34 Seahorse is an American piston-engine helicopter that served in the second half of the twentieth century in a range of roles from transport to rescue at sea. In Great Britain it gave rise to the license-built and further developed Westland Wessex family, operated among other things in a naval version. The landing gear wheels are among the details that easily give away the standard of workmanship on a model.
Wash the parts, cut off the print supports and protect your airways when sanding. Glue the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the tires and the rims separately, bring out the hubs with a wash and apply fine pigments to the contact surfaces to suggest wear.
This is a resin detail accessory for another model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
