A photo-etched set of engine deck grilles for the Tiger I in 1:48 scale from Voyager Model. The brass etch replaces the plastic cooling grilles with fine mesh. The target kit is the Tamiya 32504/32575.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched brass detail set intended to refine the engine compartment of the plastic kit of the Tiger I heavy tank in 1:48 scale. It is not a stand-alone model but an accessory that, in this small scale, replaces the molded plastic grilles with a fine etched screen that really is see-through.
The product is intended for the Tamiya 32504/32575 kit. That one is bought separately.
The Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger I was a German heavy tank of the Second World War with an 88 mm gun and heavy frontal armor. It was deployed from 1942 on all the main fronts. The grilles above the radiators at the rear of the hull are, even in the small 1:48 scale, one of the places where an etched replacement shows markedly.
In 1:48 scale the parts are tiny; separate them with a sharp knife or etch scissors and form the bends with a bending tool. Bond them with super glue, degrease the metal before painting and treat it with primer. Tweezers and an airbrush are recommended.
An accessory for advanced modelers; the plastic kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
