Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the late version of the German Arado Ar 199 training floatplane in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker RS Models. It is a short-run model; the box holds parts in gray plastic, clear glazing, a fine photo-etched fret and decals for several machines. It differs from the early version in the clear parts, the engine section and other components.
The Arado Ar 199 was a low-wing training floatplane of the late 1930s, intended for training pilots of float and catapult-launched aircraft. The instructor and the pupil sat side by side in the enclosed cabin, with room behind them for navigator or radio operator training. The machines stood on a pair of floats and served with German naval aviation; late examples flew even in the final years of the war.
A short-run mold calls for cleaning up the parts, sanding down the mold seams and dry-fitting. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue and the plastic with thin model cement. Paint the cockpit interior and the floats before closing them up, and fit the glazing only after the clear coat. We recommend a primer and spraying with an airbrush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
