Red Fox Studio 1:72 Asphalt Base Type 1 250x160mm

A Red Fox Studio display base for models in 1:72 scale. The subject is an asphalt surface in the Type 1 version measuring 250 x 160 mm. The surface is color-finished with a three-dimensional relief effect and ready for a model to go straight on display.

Material and workmanship

The base is a light board of extruded PVC roughly 5 mm thick with a pre-printed surface in a satin sheen that resists UV light. The Type 1 version differs from the other asphalt bases in the drawing and the layout of the surface.

Use and surface finish

Just place the model on the base and the scene is ready for display
The board can be trimmed to the size or the shape you need
The surface can be painted over and weathered with acrylic and enamel paints
Overspraying with a matte varnish is recommended for a realistic result
