This 3D-printed resin detail set from Reskit holds one centerline fuel tank of 650 gallons together with pylons, in 1:72 scale. It is meant for models of the F-105D and F-105G Thunderchief fighter-bombers. It is a standalone accessory, not an aircraft model.
The Republic F-105 Thunderchief was a powerful single-seat and two-seat fighter-bomber used above all in the strike role. For long-range missions it carried a bulky centerline tank that is characteristic of its silhouette. The F-105G version was specialized in suppressing enemy air defenses.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts in lukewarm soapy water. Cut the print supports away and sand the surfaces lightly with respiratory protection. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Lay on a filler primer before painting; match the shade to the underside of the model. Take care that the pylons meet the fuselage cleanly and square.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package. The package holds one tank.
