This is not an aircraft model, but an armament accessory — a set of three 3D-printed German Fritz X guided bombs in 1:72 scale from 77propeller. The set is designed to be fitted under Revell's Heinkel He-177 kit and requires the base kit; on its own it does not include any aircraft model. The 3D printing allows fine, sharp detail on the bomb body and tail surfaces that replaces or supplements parts from the base kit.
Fritz X (Ruhrstahl/Kramer, designation PC 1400X) was a German guided armor-piercing bomb from the Second World War era and is among the very first precision-guided weapons ever used in combat. It was a heavy anti-ship bomb with tail surfaces that an operator steered onto the target by radio. It was carried mainly by heavy bombers such as the Heinkel He 177 and the Dornier Do 217, and it became known for its use against warships.
First wash the parts to remove any residual print material, carefully separate them from the print supports, and clean up the mating surfaces. Glue with cyanoacrylate (super glue), since ordinary plastic cement will not hold on printed material. Sand with respiratory protection. Apply a primer before painting, then spray with an airbrush in thin coats; fit the bomb racks according to their placement on the base kit.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted and requires the base kit. Glue, paints, and the model itself are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
