Layered decals of the pilot's cockpit for the late Ju 290 A-7 version in 1:72 scale. An accessory for the Revell kit; it holds seat belts as well.
Responsibility details are not available.
The A-7 version was the peak of development of the whole family and only a few of them were built. Its recognition feature is a reworked nose: instead of a glazed tip it carries a rounded gun position with a 20 mm cannon, which changed the outline of the machine more than any earlier modification. The seventh version also allowed for carrying guided anti-ship missiles under the wing, so a reconnaissance aircraft was to become a strike machine. The war ended before anything could be made of that, and the surviving pieces finished their flying in quite different roles.
The printed panels have relief, hold the maker's color and the dials are covered with a glossy layer imitating glass. The modeler is spared the worry of picking out individual dials, of drybrushing and of looking for the right interior shade. The seat belts enclosed for the crew give the space a sense of scale, because the eye recognizes their width at once.
The package is intended to complete a kit, and you will not find the model of the aircraft itself in it. Anyone who takes on this rare version in particular saves the most demanding painting work in the whole model.
