The Eduard photo-etched set for the Ki-67 Hiryu 1:72 is a photo-etch detail accessory for sharpening a plastic kit of this Japanese bomber, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detail set in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for sharpening a plastic kit of the twin-engine Mitsubishi Ki-67 Hiryu bomber, given the Allied code name Peggy. The thin metal parts replace and complete the small elements that cannot be made faithfully in injection-molded plastic, typically cockpit detail, the instrument panel, controls, seat belts and fine external parts. The set is meant for modelers who want to lift a base kit to a higher level.
The Mitsubishi Ki-67 Hiryu was a Japanese twin-engine bomber from the late phase of the Second World War, used by the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force. For its day it was marked by good agility and toughness; the Allies gave it the code name Peggy. It was flown as a bomber and as a torpedo carrier.
Separate the etched parts carefully from the fret, bend them on the edge of a blade or in a bending tool and join them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Bring out the areas finished in color with a brush; give matte metal parts a primer before varnishing. Working with fine photo-etch calls for tweezers and a sharp knife and suits more advanced builders.
This is an accessory, not an aircraft model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
