An extensive injection-molded kit of a modern maritime patrol and antisubmarine aircraft in 1:72 scale. The manufacturer Big Planes Kits (Ukraine) completes the plastic parts with resin, photo-etched parts and 3D printed sections including the AN/APS-154 sensor (Advanced Airborne Sensor). The package also contains 3D printed seats, masks for the glazing and the wheels and decals with several marking schemes.
The P-8A Poseidon is a maritime patrol aircraft built on the basis of the Boeing 737 airliner. It serves for hunting submarines, for surface reconnaissance and for the use of armament over the sea. The additional AN/APS-154 system is an advanced reconnaissance radar carried in a pod under the fuselage, which extends the capability of tracking and identifying targets in any weather.
The model is meant for more experienced modelers. Glue the plastic with liquid cement, and first wash the resin and 3D printed parts free of remnants of the release agent and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. The large fuselage calls for careful filling and sanding of the seams; the surface comes off best after spraying with a primer and an airbrush, and apply the decals onto a gloss coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
