M-117R bombs with MAU-91 retarding fin (6 pcs) 1:72 is a 3D-printed resin set from the Reskit brand for a faithful load of classic American aerial bombs.

The set contains six pieces of the M-117R aerial bomb fitted with the MAU-91 retarding tail assembly, printed from resin by 3D printing technology and complemented by a decal sheet. This is a weapons accessory for hanging under an aircraft, not an aircraft model. It suits a whole range of combat aircraft, for example the F-105, F-111, A-4, F-4, F-5, F-104, F-100, A-1 Skyraider, B-52 and Canberra.
The M117 is an American general purpose aerial bomb weighing roughly 340 kg, used on a mass scale above all during the Vietnam War. The version with the retarding tail deploys an air brake after release, which slows the fall of the bomb and allows a safe release from low altitude without the aircraft being caught by the blast wave of its own weapon.
Wash the parts free of residual uncured resin, cut off the print supports and glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); sand with respiratory protection. Once a filler primer has been laid on, the bombs are usually sprayed olive or gray and finished with the enclosed marking decals.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
