Miles M.11A Whitney Straight 1:72, the France finish is an all-resin kit of a British light monoplane of the 1930s by SBS Model, meant for more experienced modelers.
Responsibility details are not available.
A collector's all-resin kit of the light British monoplane Miles M.11A Whitney Straight in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer SBS Model. The set captures the France racing finish and, besides the cast resin parts, usually contains photo-etched accessories, parts of clear material for glazing the cabin, a painting mask and a decal sheet. This is a kit for the advanced, not injection-molded plastic for beginners.
The Miles M.11A Whitney Straight was a two-seat light touring monoplane with a low-wing layout and an enclosed cabin with the seats side by side. The type first flew in 1936 and bore the name of the businessman and pilot Whitney Straight, who took part in its creation. It was a comfortable and, for its day, modern machine of wooden construction, popular with private owners; some examples flew long after the war.
First wash the mold release agent off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces (with respiratory protection). Glue resin with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Before painting, lay on a quality filler primer, which evens the surface out; we recommend applying fine shades with an airbrush. Protect the cabin glazing with the painting mask.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
