1:72 Mirage-2000D - interior 3D decals for DreamModel kit

The Mirage 2000D interior in 1:72 scale

A set of Kelik color 3D elements for the interior of a Mirage 2000D model in 1:72 scale, prepared according to the name for the Dream Model kit. The elements carry both the color and a raised relief, so the instrument panels of both cockpits get their detail without laborious painting.

The real subject

The Mirage 2000D is the two-seat attack version of the French delta-wing fighter. The crew is a pilot and a systems operator seated behind him, so the model has two cockpits and more of the interior shows under the long glazing than on the single-seat version. The modern cockpit is also full of displays and panels, and painting those by hand in a small scale is hard work.

How to work with the elements

• The way the elements are applied differs between the individual Kelik ranges, so follow the manufacturer's instructions.
• The surface must be flat, clean and free of grease, otherwise the element will not seat.
• Sand the raised instruments on the kit parts flat.
• Move the elements with tweezers and press them down with a cotton swab, working from the center out to the edges.
• Finish both cockpits before you glue the fuselage together and fit the glazing.

Who the set is for

For builders of modern jets in 1:72 scale who want both cockpits legible and finished quickly. The extent of the set and the exact procedure are given by the manufacturer in the instructions. The package holds the interior elements only; the model, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
