The photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard makes it possible to show the landing flaps of a model of the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.V fighter in 1:72 scale in the extended position with a faithful inner structure. It is not an airplane kit but an accessory that raises the realism of the wing.
Injection-molded flaps are usually solid and closed. The photo-etched set replaces them with fine metal parts that faithfully capture the ribbing and the mechanism of the flaps in the open position - a detail that was commonly seen on parked Spitfires.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife, bend them in a bender and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Degrease the metal and treat it with primer before painting; pick the inner surfaces of the flaps out in the interior shade.
This is a modeling accessory. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
